Emsella Chair for urinary incontinence and sexual pain in Marietta

When I first learned about this particular device, I joked that it would be the first “electric” chair to provide a reward as opposed to punishing evil doers. We are excited to announce that our Emsella chair has arrived and is ready to begin helping people immediately.

For those unfamiliar, Emsella is a non-invasive pelvic floor treatment that uses high-intensity electromagnetic stimulation (HIFEM technology) to strengthen pelvic floor muscles. It is commonly used for urinary incontinence treatment, bladder control improvement, and sexual wellness enhancement in both men and women.

There are a number of factors involved when considering a person’s sexual health status and it is different for men vs women.

Sexual dysfunction in the male typically focuses on:

✔The ability to obtain and maintain an erection, but this is not the only symptom.

Declining sex drive and endurance are issues commonly dealt with by supplementing with testosterone and monitoring levels to make certain testosterone remains in the optimal, not necessarily the normal range.

Estrogen must be tested and stabilized as well.

Another issue is men may notice a decline in the volume of ejaculate or less intensity of an orgasm.

The issues with women are similar, but different because of anatomy.

Like the male, women can also experience erectile dysfunction as a result of unbalanced hormones.

Women may also experience difficulty achieving a satisfying orgasm, painful sexual intercourse, urinary leakage, and impaired libido.

"Use it or lose it"

Most people have heard the term, “use it or lose it,” right? Most of you have heard of or know what Kegel exercises are. It is tightening of the muscles that stop the flow of urine or prevent bladder leakage. Correcting that problem is a boon for most females that are experiencing problems with bladder control.

Strengthening the pelvic floor muscles is the purpose of Kegel exercises, but what if I could tell you that our Emsella chair treatment can provide the equivalent of more than 5,000 Kegel exercises in a single session? This makes it one of the most effective non-surgical treatments for urinary incontinence and pelvic floor strengthening available today.

Once you focus on strengthening the pelvic floor, The patient’s process is as follows:

Remains fully  clothed and sits comfortably in the chair for approximately 28 minutes.

There is no pain, only a feeling of tingling and involuntary muscle contractions.

Each Emsella session is completed in less than 30 minutes.

The recommended treatment plan is a series of six sessions. Patients typically complete two sessions per week, with at least one day between treatments.

The Results

For Women:

The return of muscle control and strength has resulted in many women correcting their formerly embarrassing dilemma of a leaky bladder or stress incontinence. In addition, patients often report improved sexual function, including orgasms that are more easily achieved and more intense.

For Men:

In men, treatment may also enhance erection quality, improve firmness, and increase orgasm intensity by strengthening the pelvic floor muscles that support sexual performance.

It is important to note that the minimum recommended package is a series of six sessions, as effectiveness diminishes with fewer treatments. After completing the initial series, additional sessions may be repeated if further improvement is desired.

We are excited about this advanced Emsella pelvic floor therapy and its ability to support both bladder control and sexual wellness. If you have questions or would like to see the device in person, we welcome you to reach out.
